H.P. Lovecraft, shoe artist extraordinaire has been covering every surface in sight with art since she was old enough to hold a crayon. So it was only natural that she moved her marker gripped hand over to the wearable canvas of classic kicks. Tagging her own sneakers with iconic images and prints then moving onto her friends’ shoes, is how it all began. The first pair was born four years ago and H.P. Lovecraft's hand drawn original artworks of robots, dripping graffiti, and shining Michael Jackson concoctions have been sent home with ecstatic customers ever since. H.P. Lovecraft is a nickname given to her by a close friend because of her initials, and the name of the weird and horrific fiction writer she muses. The name stuck and is quickly being recognized and remembered by sneaker freakers and party kids alike. In between design school and Dj'ing parties, H.P. Lovecraft has been sold in Patricia Field in New York City, 10 Corso Como in Milan, and Colette's in Paris. Not to mention recently outfitting the elite fleet of Madonna, Julian Casablanca of The Strokes, Director Guillermo Del Toro and more with her irresistible one of a kind kicks. With the success of H.P. Lovecraft NYC customs, H.P. has decided to gather a team of artists like herself to help with the growing demand for her graphic kicks. Now with help from “The Team”, it’s been possible to make hand drawn shoes for the masses! To contact H.P. for your own custom order, press, or wholesale inquiry please send an email to HPLovecraftnyc@gmail.com. |
